Im still alive, save your money and buy something else that works.

It has similar marketing of the ZOMBIE rounds, neither of which I would ever use or purchase.
Fun way to waste money during target practice, but try explaining to the jury that you are sane and claiming self defense with a round called R.I.P.

It is a gimmick.
+1
The small petals that break off do not penetrate enough to do real damage. So basically they would sit at the surface of the wound and a small 380-sized core is left over that penetrates effectively.
Is it still effective? Sure. Is it the most effective hollow point to stack the cards in your favor? Definitely no.

Hornady Zombie Max
This was marketed very well and had good sales but it was the exact same design as Hornady Critical Defense. So while it may have looked really bad in court to have defended yourself with "zombie" ammo, it is still an effective self defense round. It makes the RIP look like a bb from a pellet gun.

I have some that I bought for the shits and giggles of buying it but I have never shot them and would never want to rely on them. I have read a lot of research on them and the "facts" that they push have been disproved by a lot of people.

I bought a few boxes of this in the past. It was cheaper than the regular ballistic tips.

I don't know anyone personally. I can't wrap my mind around it.

I found the video kind of amusing....the narrator sounds like a dastardly villan...I am sure that when he laughs, it sounds like Dracula laughing.

Those guys are near Athens and a coworker and her husband invested in the company early. They are friends with the owners, and she offers to bring me in for a tour of the production facility.
I don't have the heart to tell her I think it's a useless gimmick and not to mention the possible legal ramifications of a self defense situation with these bullets, as many already mentioned.
She even has a keychain with one of these projectiles on it.
