I did that a couple of years ago but they say it takes up too much space in their containers and then they put their mark up on them. I can buy these beads for $6.30 each and sell them for $50.00 - $90.00 each.

So it isn't personal use at all.

It's usually priced by weight. Can't imagine anal beads weigh all that much. Not sure about the taxes for importing into the US, VAT etc. Freight forwarder will be able to help him with that.

Anyone have any advice for importing a 20' container of Mardi Gras supplies in from China here to the states? Personal use so I do not have a business to run it through. I talked with FedEx and you have to have business with Fed tax id to do business with them.

If you are selling them for profit then just get the fed tax id number, it's not that hard to do then you could deal with whoever you wanted. Create a quick llc and be done with it.

You're gonna need a broker because Maersk isn't gonna just accept a call from Joe Blow to get one container shipped on a one time deal.

Probably should do that. Started out as a hobby when I made one and sold it for $200 for the necklace.

Thanks for advice. Went online yesterday and got my EIN. Ty. Only took 3 minutes.
