How hard of a job is it to replace home windows on an older wood siding house that has wood trim around the exterior of the windows? This is for a rental property actually not my own, but I had some punks break 4 of my windows when it was vacant with what looks like a basketball. Can I just order some fairly cheap windows and do it myself, or should is it worth paying to have it done? The reason I ask is I think replacing the entire window myself would be cheaper than hiring someone to replace the halves that are broken.

Typically glass replacement is surprisingly cheap. I would call a glass place

If you can't just replace the glass, you may be able to just do a sash replacement.

Should be around $100-150 per window.
