Zardes is OLD (2009+) Eddie Johnson 2.0. Adequate (+) in the air, positionally flexible, physical and faster than 2/3rd of the people he steps on the field with. Shitty first touch, starts to break down when he tries to out think somebody. I think Zardes is at least as willing a defender than Eddie probably ever was, though.
What we NEED is YOUNG (2005ish) Eddie Johnson 2.0. Poach, make runs in behind people and finish in front of goal. Don't even try to be a complete soccer player - just friggin' finish.
I'm hopefully that Bobby Wood and/or Jordan Morris can be that player.
