The black guy that plays the Genie on Broadway does a great job. He won an award for it.

But yes, there is no doubt even that portrayal borrows heavily, if not all of it, from RW. That "character" isn't even really a written designed character. It's just Robin being himself, which is really cool.

Disney is doing live action adaptations of all of their animated classics. Thus far they've been pretty well down. I liked Cinderella and jungle book is getting pretty good press (going to see it tomorrow). I'll see Beauty and the Beast when it comes out. I expect Aladdin to be well done.
