There are little cutouts on the head where you clip the string into before you put the head back on.

Put the string through the holes and seat the head. Then, pull both strings at the same time to get the head in the right position.

Seriously though, just get thicker string. People don't think there is a difference, but I've cut grass professionally in the past, and hate when I have to use the skinny stuff. I use 0.095 IIRC

Well my use of your theory is good...my execution must suck. Because what you say is exactly as I do it...I'll have to see what diameter string I use.
