We've done this dance before. NOPE. Tomato = awful
To be fair, I've gotten to a point where they are tolerable. I even ate a couple cherry tomatoes the other day on a salad. But they are hardly some source of existential bliss.
But I ate a few! And I wasn't miserable! I'm progressing

You're growing up! I agree with Lewis, though. A good ripe homegrown tomato is heaven on earth.
