Yeah winning that comp was dumb, but he wants this reputation that he is a good, honest, hardworking southern boy, but he's broken two very huge promises in two seasons. Imagine if he was in Vic's position last night promising to put Paul up next week (in his case Natalie), who would believe him? I get you need to lie some, but he doesn't lie strategically or privately. Idk could just be me, but I hate his game play.

He lies to get out of uncomfortable, confrontational conversations.

Publically breaking promises during endurance comps is definitely a very bad decision. Like you said, no one will trust you after that. I'm surprised he didn't catch more flack for that when he did it to Bridgette this season.

It's not just you, a lot of people don't like his game play. But for me, I looks at his position currently in the house and I think he has set himself up about as best as he could've. Nat, Nicole, Corey, nor possibly Michelle (she's iffy) would ever target him until final 3. If Day or Bridgette come back in the house, they probably wouldn't target him immediately either (Day would probably take him to final 3 also). The only ones that would target James next week are Paul and either Victor or Paulie if they come back (who know what in the hell Z would do).
James convincing Nat & Michelle to keep with the plan to evict Victor after Paul won the veto was the best for his game, even though it was probably not the best for Nat and especially Michelle's game. Nicole and Corey might now target Michelle and even Nat before Paul after the work Paul put in last night, but they still won't target James on purpose. So again, I think he has positioned himself the best he could during this past week.
