To me a much better indication of the songwriting prowess of each.
It's a classic.
Dirty South is good, but DD was just such a great jump from Southern Rock Opera, it represents the high water mark.

Yeah, not so much. Everyone I know was soundly disappointed in DD upon its release after the bar they set with SRO. There are some good songs on DD, but it doesn't hold a candle to SRO.
