OT runners: bump forming on my left outer shin every time I run

I started running about a month ago. I go about 5 days a week and do 4.5 miles. On my left leg, the I guess it's the shin muscle? A bump forms when I run, it is a little bigger than a mosquito bite. It doesn't hurt and I can't really feel it. But when I run my fingers along the muscle, it is clearly a bump under my skin. I usually have bad shin splints but have not gotten them since I started running. Does anyone know what this could possibly be? Is it anything serious I should check with a doctor about?

I've had shin splints my whOle life, but I've never experienced this before. Is it normal?

I get the same thing on my right leg about 3 or 4" above my ankle. It got to the point where it would start causing me pain (but only when running). I had ultrasounds and CT scans but they couldn't find anything wrong. When my doctor recommended going to a dermatologist I gave up. It doesn't seem to bother me as much now... but I'm also not running like I was when it started bothering me.

I have hernias in both shins from too many splints before I started taking better care of my tissues.
Basically, the pressure breaks the fascia, and a bit of the muscle pokes out, making a bump.
No way to repair, if I keep everything stretched and do myofascial release, there's no issues

I have the same thing on my right leg from running. The doctor told me it's just veins under the skin that get bigger with exercise, if it doesn't hurt don't worry.
