I wonder if the D shows significant improvement if Miles will loosen the reins on Harris more. I think everything works in a wholistic manner. A lack of confidence in the D also pushes Les to use more ball control, burn clock and keep the D off the field. If our D starts generating turnovers and getting 3 and outs I think Harris will be allowed to take more risks.

Good question. I do believe one hand feeds the other. A proven D that can take over a game when needed will grant more confidence in the passing game and more green lights for BH to pass the ball in not just one or two areas of the field.

Unless the play calling changes, we will see more of the same from him this year. When you have athletes playing QB they will always be run first instead of pass first QBs. This kid does have the tools to be a complete QB, however. I just hope that Cam can develop it.

He's absolutely not a run first QB

Because he's being coached out of that habit. He has the ability to run but his big arm is why I said he has the ability to be successful doing both.

You literally said that he would always be a run first QB.

Assuming you mean more passes called, you're wishing for less successful plays called more often....unless execution improves.
This is a tired narrative that assumes just choosing a different tool from a box of broken ones will fix the problem.
