Opening day Dodgers 15-0 over SD. This town is frickin hopeless man.

No Basketball team. A really shitty baseball team. And a football team who would rather move away and share a stadium with the Raiders.

Worst sports town in the US. It's not even close.

You still have the Aztecs.

Just enjoy the weather, man. I love that town, personally.

When was the last time SD had a team up for it all only to crap it away? Didn't the Padres make it around like 98? As I recall they didn't stand a chance that year. I can't remember any other time when a SD team was really close, but I could be missing something. Cleveland has had more shots and just continues to not get over the hump.

Padres got swept bu the Yankees in '98 WS. Cleveland Indians lost in 7 the year before

Chargers lost '95 Super Bowl and 2008 AFCCG

Even if sports is hopeless, you still live in San Diego. Cleveland is hopeless, and it's Cleveland

And yet living in San Diego is infinite times better than in Cleveland

The Padres will lose 90- 95 games this year. There is no hope that they can ever get even close to a world series. It's never gonna happen....EVER!!!!

The Chargers are even worse. No rings. Nothing. They would rather move to LA and share a stadium with the Raiders and their homely, smelly, butt ugly fans.

It's terrible.

San Diego Satate blows. They lost the Finals of the Mountain West to Fresno State for fuks sakes.

No, that would be D.C. They have four sports teams and none of them have reached the conference finals since 1998. That is really, really pathetic. By contrast, Cleveland has had four conference finals appearances over that time period.

I know people like to ignore soccer, but its still cool that DC United has 4 MLS cups and a CONCACAF champions league ship

2006 Chargers

Home game against New England in the divisional round. Something weird happened on a New England 4th down play late in the game. I believe San Diego intercepted a pass on 4th down, then fumbled immediately, before the player went down, and New England recovered and got 4 new downs. Would have sealed the game for SD.

Instead, New England went on to score and win the game. The Patriots lost in Indy the next week. The Chargers would have gotten the Colts at home in the AFC Championship game. Then a lackluster Bears team in the Super Bowl.

The Chargers were the best team in the NFL that year. They were definitely "up for it all". That team was insanely good, and then Schottenheimer in the playoffs happened.
