You would expect the Will to be replaced by the Nickel.
Often the Jack will come back down to the line of scrimmage.
The Sam would normally follow the TE to the right or left.
This would essentially result in the same 4-2-5 "Nickel" package we have run for years.

The easy answer is the Sam is most commonly replaced by the nickel back (assuming your nickel keeps a 3-man front). That's true even in a 4-3 if a 4-man front is maintained for the nickel package.
