This. Ross is in Dominca. Not in the Dominican Republic, which is on the Island of Hispanola.
Ross is now owned by Devry I believe.
Attending a Caribbean school definitely makes getting a residency more of an uphill climb. Most Caribbean grads end up doing something less competitive in a somewhat less desireble location (probably not going to match into a real prestigious institution or a real cool city).
Caribbean graduates very rarely match into competitive specialties like ortho, ENT, Urology. I am sure it has happened but I have never personally meet one.
