That masters in 4K is a huge deal in tv industry(where I work). that's going to be incredible.

My sources saying Directv will have a 4K channel up and running within weeks that will show sports from now on. MLB, NCAA game of the week, etc.

True, but until the next gen DVR's come out later this year you will need a 4K mini genie on your main TV that's hard wired to the main box, not wireless, and a new dish itself. Also, I think the 4K charge is an extra 10 bucks a month or so and they require you pay the 99.00 pro install charge. No DYI on it.

It's only gonna be showing Amens corner, holes 11-13

And DirecTv can have as many 4K channels as they want but it won't matter until the actual channel networks are recording their shows in 4K as well. Just like CBS is doing with directv for those holes
