Broadcast and cable networks won’t start to take 4K seriously until 4K TVs are in 35% to 40% of homes--and now they’re at 5% at best.

Aren't most things still broadcast in 720p? Aren't most TVs 1080i?

just like HD, you need 3 things to make 4k happen
1. 4k tv
2. 4k box or off air antenna- from either a provider like DIRECTV, etc
3. 4k programming- the masters in 4k, etc
not 1 of 3, 2 of 3, must be all 3 to be real 4k. unless you have that, you can only see 4k if you have Netflix and watch house of cards and some other stuff
