review from last nite
went for my FIL's birthday, 5 ppl
the place is very nice inside with a great bar and though it was packed, it wasn't cramped or noisy. excellent atmosphere

the service was business-like and very fast, amazingly fast considering how busy they were. You know how when you're in a busy place and you're tempted to buy a double round because drinks take so long? Not here. They have the cocktail service down pat, we never waited for anything

starters were the crispy grits and fried oysters. They also sent out an amuse bouche of little cheese biscuits. seconds were sweet pea salads, pork stuffed pasta, grilled quail and smoked trout salad. entrees were butcher steak, grilled sheepshead, chicken under brick. Desserts were a chocolate mint thing, cheesecake and key lime pie. They also sent strawberry granita and some truffles and macaroons on the house

the food was outstanding, we cleaned every plate and all was very tasty and original.

the bill was...a lot.
the downside of efficient service is we drank quite a bit, but we were celebrating. Beverage check was about 200 bucks. total was 550 including generous tip. I was definitely satisfied and happy with the value but these guys have an excellent business plan and are making good money if the avg check is near ours

We will definitely go back
great place also if you like to sit at the bar and eat
