Zach Lee not ruling out a return to football

Despite the Dodgers filling out their rotation this offseason by re-signing lefty Brett Anderson and adding free agents Scott Kazmir and Kenta Maeda, Lee is eager to prove himself in spring training and demonstrate he's worthy of being placed on the major-league mound.
"My job is to try to make a name for myself and get a rotation spot," Lee told MLB.com. "I'll use it as an opportunity to show what I can do on the big league level."
In the event that the 24-year-old former star quarterback does not get his chance to be a major-league pitcher in the near future, there is a chance he could drop his professional baseball career and pursue a collegiate football career.
"I wouldn't say it's completely left the station," Lee told MLB.com of the prospect of him going to college to play football. "It's a decision I'd have to make pretty soon. But I've got an opportunity to prove myself in the big leagues."

He will probably come back and go to Alabama and win a Heisman.

I doubt he would come here. Probably more likely to go somewhere that he could start immediately, given his age.

Or come to LSU and have 5 years to play 4 so redshirt learn as much as possible. Harris plays lights out goes pro after this year he is battling to start as a 25 year old freshman or Harris stays two and you are starting as a 26 year old sophomore. In no other school worth going to is a guy that hasn't touched a football in that long going to start in the fall and be starting their first year anyway.

Josh Booty all over again

I think people overrated his football ability. He was good, but this kid wasn't Jacob Eason or something like that in high school.
I mean, I'd love him to come back to LSU, don't get me wrong, I just don't think he's some generational quarterback talent. I always thought it was bizarre how people were dubbing him a QB "savior" his freshman year.
His maturity though that comes naturally with aging (and having tons of money) would be nice for the position in college.

Sorry, do not want, he is one of the reasons for the painful QB play due to his leaving the program in the 11th hour.

He could leave any year if he decided to play College Football. Could be a one and done somewhere.

I thought I read somewhere last year that his football clock started ticking when he practiced with the team and that his eligibility is up.

Matt Mauck Pt 2
more like Chris Weinke. Mauck was actually only 21 in his RS Freshman season

It has been said here many times, but apparently is not true.

Not to mention working with big league strength coaches. I bet his arm has gotten significantly stronger.
I had to laugh at the post about him not coming to LSU because he'd want to start day 1 somewhere.

What is he, like 50? Feel like I've been hearing about him forever.
