Biggest reason for me was I got very few request for it so if I did it once I got stuck with the other half.


Seems like it would be easier just to buy them boiled for that few

Exactly.
In college, I'd get sammys to set aside half sacks for me and they'd do it. Not sure if they still would.

Retail it's just a pain in the arse and time consuming for something that most people don't want.

Maybe somewhere like LA boilers would?

Yeah for the first boil of the season, or for a quick and easy one, I like to do a small batch just for me, wife and kids. I rarely buy them boiled. We like the boiling process as much as the eating.
