NO one deserves the fight more than Edger, but he deserves it at the weight that is fair for him. He fights at 145 and McGregor holds the 145 belt. If they fight, McGregor needs to come down to 145 and put that belt on the line. Not at 155, not at a catchweight of 150, but for a real title at 145.
If they aren't going to fight for a title then Edger shouldn't take the fight. If the fight is just for entertainment value then no fight would be more entertaining than McGregor vs Nate Diaz at 155. I want to see what McGregor can do against a tough fighter his size.

with such short notice just make it a catch weight fight at 160lbs against any of the top lightweights.
Pettis, Cerrone, Tony Ferguson, Eddie Alveraez, Nate Diaz.
check with any of those fighters and see if they are ready to fight. Any of them would give McGregor the toughest fight of his career and good chance they beat him.
