See I guess I'm different. I didn't play ds1 or 2 until awhile after their release (I did play the dlc for old King and sunken King on release though) and didn't play bloodborne until many months after release.
It actually felt extremely weird preordering a FROM game
ETA: I have also never been afraid to look into different weapon build etc. either. I am a "no pyromancy or cleric spells" player on my first playthrough as well, but I feel it evens out with me researching different weapons and builds

I played DS1 in 2013 I think.

I don't do the pre-order thing anymore. It's not like steam will run out of digital downloads
