Unless you plan on having a pocket holster, I would go with the S&W if the Kahr does not have a safety.

Please do yourself (and anyone else here who might read your personal recommendation) a favor and do some additional research. You'll find that all authorities will basically say don't pocket carry a gun w/o using a holster. No need for me to go through all the reasons now as I hope you find out why on your own time. Hint....the reasons deal w/ safe handling of a gun.

So she needed a safety. That's all i said. Now I have to go to work so find somebody on the rant to argue with.
I'm not arguing w/ you as obviously you meant well b/c you sought advice. Unfortunately, the quality of advice one gets at a gun store varies about as much as the advice one gets from the OB. Do your own research from self defense and cc "gurus" so you can better take care of you and your wife. If you find an expert who does NOT recommend a holster for pocket carry, let me know. And please, get a nice holster for both of y'all to carry that 380 in (especially for purse carry).

Here's a start for you.... Why use a holster for pocket carry.

ETA: And for cc I'd STILL recommend the Kahr over the Bodyguard every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I do plan on using a holster when I pocket carry. To me it's a necessity. On that subject, does anyone have any experience with the Uncle George's or Recluse One Sided? My plan is to mostly carry in the back pocket of my jeans at work and sometimes front pocket of other pants or athletic shorts. As of right now I'm leaning towards the recluse because of the design and being able to hold an extra mag.
