Johnson was considered the best wr in the league almost every year he played. Lynch was considered the best rb in the league, never.

This is how I feel. Johnson set the single season yards mark and was the best WR for a 5 year period or so. Lynch was never known as the best rb in the league (he was probably in the 3-5 range for a 5 year span)

The only people in football who should be judged by championships and team success are coaches, front office executives and owners period. It's beyond ridiculous how everybody touts football as the ultimate team game and then say so and so QB is better than another QB because they have more championship rings. Most people are smart enough to know Barry Sanders was a better player than Emmitt Smith. They realize Emmitt had better team and postseason success because he had a better team around him. So why can't they apply the same logic to other positions like QB?

Megatron was the best WR for 3 straight years - 2011-2013. Injuries prevented him from further dominance and his seasons before that stretch showed flashes of brilliance but lacked much consistency.

Lynch had a 3 year stretch from 2012-2014 where he was the second most consistent RB in the NFL, the best being AD. I can't really knock Lynch for being the 2nd best RB in the NFL when the #1 guy is a Top 5 RB of all time.

All in all, Johnson was the better player but I'm sure he'd swap careers with Lynch in a heartbeat.
