the rumors were started by this guy, who is clearly admitting it is a hoax...what followed the last night and today, who knows - but since all the 'confirmations' are coming from blogs, there is at least a good chance the blog got his info from yet more internet rumors

it's so easy to do these days...that's why we see dozens of "I just heard from someone who is rarely wrong" posts on message boards a few hours after a rumor is started
