what antenna are you using?

where are you located?

based off your location, are you pointing the antenna in the right direction?

Is the antenna in the window facing the towers?

Are the channels for WBRZ and WAFB 2 and 9? I found a station that had WBRZ content but I think it said WBTR?

I don't know where the towers are. I just moved it until things showed up. I am a girl and direction blind. North and South mean nothing to me :(

Your phone has a compass. Try entering your address at antennaweb.org to determine where your signals are coming from. If you're like me they're coming from the western area of town.

From my Tablo those two channels are listed as 2-1 and 9-1. Each of them have sub channels also, hints the -1 behind each. It's possible WBTR is one of those. But that call sign isn't listed on my end.

Good site. If you zoom in enough it will show you your house footprint. From there you can zoom out to help get a better bearing on the direction you need to face the Antenna.

In Exodus, I'm not seeing descriptions on the categories menu ("Most popular", "in Theaters', "Search" etc). Anyone else have this issue?

Just installed kodi v17, fusion repo, and added Exodus for a buddy. Everything is functioning properly, but it's pretty annoying...

Not really seeing anything out in Google to help troubleshoot this... Any ideas for a fix?

Success!! Just installed the bad boy Winegard in the attic and I'm getting 25 OTA channels including all necessary locals. Thanks for the advice.

ETA Now it's time to look at a Tablo.

Ok so need some help.

I'm currently thinking/wanting to ditch cable. I just can't justify paying $120/month when all the family watches is 3 channels and live sports. So far I have:
-Fire stick (have prime already)
-Apple Tv (have had it for a few years and have a lot of movies through iTunes)
-Netflix (access through family)
-PlayStation Vue (in the middle of the free trial and love it, has all the channels we normally watch minus the local channels and seems more reliable than Sling)

That last one is what I need help with. I want the live sports and local channels. Majority of the towers are 40+ miles away. I was going to test my luck with an indoor antenna but then saw someone set up a larger outdoor antenna on an already existing satellite dish.
Has anyone done this? The dish was already here when I bought the house and since I've had U-verse this whole time I don't know if they disconnected anything when setting up the cable (everything looks connected outside).

TIA!

Might be better off getting an outdoor long range and pointing it directly into the towers.

Im sure the cables are run in the attic still so find the one that is coming from the existing satellite and trace it back to where it splits or ties in. to many splits will affect your signal so this is probably a good idea anyway to see what you have running where.

That's another problem

No attic access that I can see to that part of the house. I could be wrong but haven't seen it.

So using a Tablo basically gives you a DVR for OTA and makes it so you don't have to run coax to the other tv's in your house from your antenna correct?? Seems kinda expensive for only providing that.

Yes aNd yes.
Tablo has an app on atv4 and fire stick, roku, etc. you access the app to view your locals and recorded shows. You can also air play from your phone. I think the price pays for itself if/win you keep this thing for a couple years vs some of the other OTA boxes that have dvr capabilities.
For me it fits my needs. I didn't feel like fooling with the coax in the attic for all my rooms and I never have more than two TVs going at once. I only wanted it for local news and live sporting events. With those I'm not channel surfing so the load time doesn't really bother me. On ATV4 it takes about 10-12 seconds to load up from a dead sleep. But once you've tuned into a channel, it will load in about 3 seconds. My fire stick tho seems to take a while to load and at times even has issues getting all the info into the guide in a timely manner. According to the Tablo community this is due to the processing power of the stick. Apparently the Fire TV works about as well as the ATV.

FireTv set up with Kodi. Super impressed scrolling through so far. Just going to use it for the TV shows. How often do they update and what are some normal problems you run across using it?

The TV shows usually show up shortly after they air. I haven't had any problems at all with mine so far. I've been using it for 2 months.
