I just need to learn the processes of adding and removing sources and repos... this is all new to me.

Its quite easy actually.

1. pour a whiskey drank
2. download amazon fire tv app on phone
3. log into tech board and ask questions
4. watch a couple videos on how to install repos
5. pour another whisky
6. curse at the tv and say frick it till tomorrow

this is what worked for me

I have kodi on a fire stick and it worked for awhile using Genesis to watch movies but that stopped working months ago. The link on page 1 of this thread to install fusion and then exodus is bad. Is there an updated way to get my Kodi up and running again? TIA

I installed Kodi on my Nexus Player (android TV) but am having trouble figuring out how to do the add-ons. The instructions on the first page for installing Fusion are not found when I click the link. I am trying to replace my cable and only have Netflix so I would like to be able to watch TV, movies and sports through the Kodi app.

System
File manager
Add source
Type in LINK /
Enter a name...fusion
Back out to main screen
Then go
System
Settings
Install from zip file
Instal fusion
Then use configuration wizard for the type of hardware your using...will configure Kodi
If u have an app called indigo, the u can rejuvenate kodi....

See when I go to system settings there is no place to click install from zip file. I don't know where to go from there. And if I go back to file manager and click fusion there is no install wizard link. There is a folder that says begin here and inside the folder is just the indigo thing. I'm unsure what is different with mine. I did download Kodi from the Play Store and did not sideload it so maybe that is why.

PSVue users:

What is the best, most convenient interface for this service?

Is it worth getting a FireTV to dedicate to this or just use the PS4?

I suspect continued use has to put some type of wear and tear on the PS4?

TIA.

How is PSVue on a wired PS3? What about a wireless FireTV stick?

Thinking about switching over from Cox and these are my current devices. If terrible, I can buy a FireTV box and hardwire it. Just hoping didn't need to get any new hardware.

I guess I'll also need to pick up an antenna.

Alright got Kodi up and running on a fire stick.

Have exodus and salts add-ons loaded. Still no idea how to use this thing quite yet. Will I have to reload this same shite on my other sticks, or do they sync in any way? What other add-ons do I need?

For OTA antenna, I was looking at the Winegard 7694 linked earlier. I'm over 30 miles from the towers, but they are all in same direction. I'll install it in the attic. Anybody use this in the BR area?

I have Netflix, Amazon Prime, Plex, and now Kodi. I am still looking at PSVue and how it fits in with this setup. Seems like you get a ton of access and features for a lot less than cable. I haven't fully explored or grasped the capabilities of Kodi yet, so trying to figure this out.

No

They aren't made to support it efficiently

Smart TVs are terrible and are generally a waste of money. If you have the option, buy a similar tv of the same brand but without smart functionality

Then buy a fire tv box

Well that sucks. PS Vue sucks through it's official app on a smart tv, I would've thought the oppisite.

Glad I asked.

Can watch 3 channels at once now with ps Vue. For how long they have been out, they aren't shy about bringing updates. Unlike all the other cable companies.

I'm still going to push this as the best streaming cable out there.

How is the picture quality? I keep reading conflicting reports about 30fps vs 60fps on certain devices. 60fps makes a huge difference with sports and on-screen tickers.
