An emotional argument is one where you're predictably taking the same side all the time, blaming the same kinds of "culprits" while reaffirming your one-dimensional worldview.

yeah like arguing against "big corporations" and defending the "little guy" in order to do just that. that's exactly my point

quote:

In reality, everyone is to blame.

nope. only one side...at least since the players forced collective bargaining on the NFL. you can argue there was no duty prior to that (although i don't think the science was available to make the argument so it's likely a moot point)

quote:

You've also managed to explain why the media, comprised of humans, might blame the soulless, big bad corporation.

because the NFLPA fricked up and/or the players don't give a shite about this if it affects their bottom line?

we don't even know if the players would get behind these rules if this had to be negotiated in a CBA. they may rather the higher revenue split or some other benefit.

tying this whole ordeal to feminists doesn't strike me as rational and emotionless.

progressives. feminists are just a subset of that mindset

You have strong emotions against feminists/progressives, but I wouldn't expect that to cloud your judgement.

What I find troubling is that the NFLPA does not assist in any of the rea search in NOCSAE yet the NFL does, but it's the NFL's fault.

I am not positive, but I believe the NFL does not have the NOCSAE warning stickers that are required in every level of football, unless they have them inside the hat, which is ok.

But I do know your hat does not have to be certified by NOCSAE to be used.

MLB is the only other league/association that I know of that non NOCSAE approved headware is allowed
