I hit iron horse last night around 8. I had the normal hamburger with cheese and the wife had the Cuban. The food came out pretty quick and staff was very attentive throughout our meal. Overall the food was as good as anywhere else in Hammond and I will be going back. I have yet to try blackened brew but I suppose I'll give them a shot soon. I will attempt to shake everyone's hand when I go.

Went yesterday so I will post a review:
Positives:
- the place looks great, I like the set up of everything and it is unique.
- Local taps, everything on tap was a local product and they had Great Raft, Parish, Abita, Tin Roof, was surprised no Mudbugs, and didn't think I saw a Nola tap
- Food came out quickly which is always a good thing
- Food itself was pretty good, I was expecting it to be "meh" but the Gf (No pics) had the Bees Knees Burger and I had the wings. We also had the pretzel sticks, which looked like hot dog buns with a pretzel outside. They were actually pretty good but you only get 2. Burger was nicely cooked and rather large, it came with fries. The fries looked like your typical sysco frozen fries, not sure if they are supposed to be hand-cut or not but they were just regular fries. I had the Honey BBQ and Jerk Chicken wings. I enjoyed the Honey BBQ more than the Jerk Chicken but they were rather large wings, I could not finish them after the pretzel sticks and all.
- prices on beer seem in line or cheaper than other places. I know an Envie at Chimes is like 7.00 but it comes in a 20oz pint, at Blackened Brew they had it listed for 6.00 but it doesn't say the size of the glassware it comes in.
Cons:
- serving staff is a little slow and unsure about beer. Our waitress seemed fairly inexperienced when it came to the different types of beer they had so i assumed she was new.
- It can get loud, we did not sit at the bar but towards the back and could hear the conversations taking place at the bar. Part of that was problem the people talking and part may be the acoustics of the place.
Overall it was a positive experience and I would certainly go back and eat/drink again.
