I agree with your review of both places 100%
I can deal with the lack of variety of beers at iron horse to have a much better time going there

I hit iron horse last night around 8. I had the normal hamburger with cheese and the wife had the Cuban. The food came out pretty quick and staff was very attentive throughout our meal. Overall the food was as good as anywhere else in Hammond and I will be going back. I have yet to try blackened brew but I suppose I'll give them a shot soon. I will attempt to shake everyone's hand when I go.
