1976 Steelers... Gave up 138 points and after A 1-4 start they won 9 straight and had like 5 shutouts during that span.... They didn't make the SB losing to the Raiders in the AFCCG playing without Harris & Blier.........

The 2000 Ravens were the best statistical defense in history. They gave up something crazy like 2.5 YPC for the season. The Bears were a more dominant defense though in terms of big plays and dictating the game.

The '76 Steelers were uo there too, they gave up 28 total points over the final 9 games of the season and had like six shutouts.

The 2000 Ravens are often overlooked. I believe they hold the record for fewest points given up in a season.

Also had that playoff game where they only had something like 175 yards of offense and still ended up with 21+ points.
