The Golden State Warriors’ plan of pursuit predates their 2015 championship run, a bold plot to declare the futility of resistance. It isn’t only that the NBA champions are determined to recruit Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant, the truth is that they’re the most intriguing destination to him. If Durant leaves the Thunder, the Warriors are the significant frontrunners to sign him, league sources told The Vertical.

They would be dumbasses to make significant changes to a team that is currently 44-4, on pace to go 75-7 and beat the all-time NBA record by 3 games, and coming off of an NBA title.

What has Durant ever done plus hes constantly injured and frail. The Warriors are just fine

a whole team of Lebron's wouldn't be able to be the Warriors if this happened.

What combination of remaining players in the nba could possibly be better?

To say they can free up the cap space is accurate, but extremely difficult. They would need to:
1) Trade AI's 11.1 mill salary into cap space (not take any contracts back.
2) Stretch Bogut (or trade him into space) and Thompson (or trade him into space)
3) Renounce Barnes
4) Release all other FAs cap holds

Thanks Lebron for making it ok for for the leagues stars to join up to make superfriends teams. this would be terrible for the league.

They need a deep bench to keep everyone fresh more than another max. No reason to rock the boat.

Wait, why is it ok for Durant to join up with a super team but Lebron gets crucified for it?

Guys...don't be so quick to crown Warriors w/Durant going forward...think you are forgetting the Rockets just got their MVP Josh Smith back. Bigger move, FWIMO.

The phrase "Don't fix it if it ain't broken" may apply here

Stern is on the phone with Silver now to make sure this doesn't happen.
