I'd still take a 6 yr old e92 over anything, similarly priced, brand new American.

Mine was great until the engine blew at 32k miles.
The S65/S85 engines sound glorious at full song but are delicate POS. Would never own one out of warranty.

Have you ever owned a BMW? I have owned several and own one currently. They are maintenance nightmares. All of them.
The 2015 Mustang GT with performance package performs about as well as that M3 if not better, but is reliable and affordable. And it's a great looking car.
