No doubt that it's risky, but I'm not part of her medical team and I'm certainly not qualified to make a decision regarding whether this is the proper course of treatment for the patient. I hope that she has consulted the proper medical professionals, considered her options with them, and made the best decision while fully informed and accepting of the risks.

A transition like this is not something to take lightly.
