I don't know where I gave a bad chance at winning... My prediction was based on how I think the game will result but it doesn't say anything about our chances of winning.

If they come out flat we have a CHANCE? Flat is like playing a C game. So we only have a chance if we play great and Oklahoma plays a C game?

Live by the 3, die by the 3. Look at some of their road games. They hit 53% against Iowa State and still lost.

If LSU plays their A game, which we have yet to see (maybe Kentucky, which goes back to the point of LSU rising to the occasion...even then Ben didn't even play most the first half), then Oklahoma will have to play an A game or they will lose.

Well obviously if LSU plays their best game of the year they can beat Oklahoma. However I think it's funny you are calling LSU's "A game" something that we have yet to play, however Oklahoma's C game is so bad... Semantics I guess...

I think a 35% chance LSU wins is more than reasonable and if that's not poistiger enough for you, then IDK what to say...

I think LSU matches up fine down low, but LSU's perimeter defense has been very suspect at times, and it takes serious mental concentration to beat Oklahoma. That last 50 seconds of the UGA game, Oklahoma will do that to you at any point in the game that you have a lapse of concentration.

OU was getting beat the entire first half va Kansas then poof in 1 minute they took the lead before half. It's a scary team and no lead is safe. This isn't like the UK team last season. This is,if not the best, offensive team in the country, one of. I think we matchup fine and they like to run and lsu is imo one of the best teams in the up tempo, should be fun but I don't see it happening. Could it?yea. I hope they get it.

What are the predictions for this coming Saturday?

considering how we beat UK at home like they stole something, everyone must first understand that we can certainly play with this team. Throw in the fact that the team (overall) has played a lot better defense as of late, Tigers win by 2!

I feel like LSU will bring it this weekend. Seems like we always do in these big home games. I say it comes down to the last minute and we either win or lose it there. Gonna go with my heart on this one

LSU 69
OU 68

OU misses on a last second heave

I did not comment at all about your percentage of LSU winning.

My point is you said LSU has a CHANCE if Oklahoma plays bad. So If they're average and we play like we did against Kentucky we still lose? Just a differing of opinions, but I strongly disagree. LSU plays up and down to competition, I would expect you of all people to realize that. We can look at a thousand stats, break it down analytically, but at the end of the day if LSU brings their talent it can matchup with any team in the country.

So they're going to foul us throughout the game on purpose and we will miss the FT's? And we will allow them to make layups because we don't want to get an And-1 since the refs will be calling everything? Using a game in which you're up 11 with 50 seconds to go to compare it to another game is asinine.

I'm just getting mad at people acting as if it'll be a miracle if we hang with Oklahoma. Like we need some incredibly miraculous thing to happen.

Jones is a lot like Miles in that he acknowledges huge games (as opposed to the "the next game is always the biggest game of the season" mantra). The downside is that it leads to flat performances against bad teams. The upside is that LSU should be ready to go. Like he is when LSU plays UK, Jones will display a COMPLETELY different demeanor on the sideline than his usual stoic, almost sleepy, display. He will be animated from the beginning and I think his team will feed off of that. This also should be the most enthusiastic crowd in a long time due to the fact the game is on a Saturday (remember, the last 3 home games against UK were all on weeknights)

OU could be the best team in the country with the best player in the county (not the best NBA prospect, of course). For all of their faults and frustrations, LSU has the horses to play with OU. Simmons can completely control the game if his teammates give him some help.

Foul trouble will be key. OU is not an incredibly deep team (their starting 5 all play huge minutes) and we know there is a HUGE drop-off behind Simmons/Victor. IF LSU can navigate the first half, it should be a wild 2nd half.

It's hard to pick LSU to win, but personnel wise, LSU is no David to an OU Goliath

I think this game will depend greatly on the refs and how tight they call the game. If they allow both teams to play, Victor will likely not get in foul trouble which will increase LSU shot at winning. If they continue to call these brain-scratching fouls where if one breathe on or barely touches a player, Victor is in trouble b/c he's so aggressive and physical.

I hope the officials allow both teams to play b/c if they do I believe that favors LSU at home.

I think you make a good point....however, if they call the game super tight I could also see a scenario like the other night where Simmons and Quarterman go to the line like 1000 times.

I've watched OU a good bit this year. They can absolutely stroke it from 3 and it's not just one guy. They're led by upper classmen and they have a small rotation that plays heavy minutes. Very similar to LSU in the post that after the starters come out there's a major drop off so keep this in mind it's not just our bigs that need to be worried about foul trouble. OU is battle tested on the road so I do I don't think the crowd noise will bother them, but the noise could fuel LSU in spots. Intensity and effort won't be an issue for LSU in this one. With purple and gold glasses on I'll say:
LSU 83 OU 80

I don't think we are disciplined enough on defense to beat a team with the guards that OU has.
91-67 OU
