This will be a great class, but it MUST MUST have a QB. Harris will be a Jr this year, and if we don't sign a QB now, we will go into the 2018 with either a redshirt freshmen or a low experienced sophomore. 2018 will be the year that this class will shine.

This class is the best; Not only do we have skill players but more than that "Big Boys" in the trenches! That's where the games are won or lost.

At the very least, if one more ESPN 300 target (Fulton, Mullen, Cook, Price, Xmas, etc..) commits, it will certainly be ESPN's greatest class to-date.

LSU is currently tied with Bama for the all-time number of ESPN 300 recruits in any given class (19). One more is the record, and LSU will certainly get one of the above guys, if not multiple ones, to set some distance.

It's better top to bottom than 2014, imo. But that's being very nit picky.

2014 left a lot to be desired in the trenches, specifically on the defensive side. Brick/Chavis really let us down that year. Taking Trey LMFAO was a reach, at best, at that point in time; and it's more than case now.

It is hard to say that this is the best class ever. We've had some really good ones. This classes biggest issue (and it's not an issue except for star gazers) is that we don't have multiple top ten guys.

But, I think this might be the most loaded, top to bottom, I've seen LSU have.

Uh, I love your enthusiasm but let's not get too excited. Best LSU class of all time, I think you will have an argument there.

remember hearing in 2014 that the 2016 Louisiana class was to be equally impressive. That has definitely proved to be true

I remember hearing the same and thinking, "how can you even know that this far out"

I can say this, there has never been this much consecutive good news in one time frame for the Tigers as has happened in the last month. It's a blizzard of excitement.

2016 > 2015 > 2014

That's my opinion. 2014 featured the top end talent that makes up most of our leaders, but those are basically the only guys who have contributed much. 16 of those 25 commits have seen the field now through two seasons. Travonte Valentine could count as a wash, so 16 of 24.The 2015 class featured 14 of 23 players that contributed as true freshmen this year. One of the 23 went to JUCO and Okeke Valentine would have played had that issue been resolved. So basically, 14 of 21 eligible players saw the field. Looking at it like that, 66% of both classes have contributed already. 2016 is better than both, but the foundation will make it tougher for freshmen to contribute next season. Expect most of the 2016 class true freshmen contributors to be featured on the dline, lbs, and special teams coverage. A couple will rotate into a really deep db group. We will probably see close to 12 guys make some kind of contribution.

In my opinion with or without a QB this class is about as good as it can get, and LSU still isn't finished yet.

It just goes to show Miles, Orgeron, and yes, even Peveto are some big time recruiting fools.

It's become mandatory that you have to be able to recruit these days, because even if you are the best tactician type of a coach, if you can't recruit, you're likely to be coaching nothing but average to below average players.

Does anyone understand how the 247 calculator/calculations work?? I mean, I was playing around with it and if we added fulton next it would raise LSU from 286 to 293 (7). I played around with some other teams also and if you add fulton to Bama it raises their score by 13!?? i give up lol

Clearly 2016 looks great on paper and will probably get better in the next couple of weeks. I don't see judging a class in reality until that class has been at the school for 3 years.

I have a problem judging without seeing the players actually play. Don't get me wrong, I love this class. I'm just saying...show me on the field.

Well if you look at the 2014 class
5* clifton transfer
4* valentine transfer
3* LMFAO transfer
... Subtract these 3 and we drop to the bottom of the top 10
