Depends on where you eat sushi. Better places charge between $5-15 per piece of nigiri (depending on selection). If you elect for some chutoro or otoro or some good uni, you can hit $50 in the blink of an eye.

If you are not eating crappy rolls and just going with quality sashimi and nigiri in a decent place you will easily spend $50.
