Northern Tangipahoa
Ladder looking down a planted road
This is an area of the lease I haven't hunted yet and isn't quite as thick as the rest of it, so maybe my luck changes. Probably one of the last hunts for me.
Toulatown that sucks. Assuming you literally mean on 22 as in hit, and not killed by hunter near 22?

I just climbed in a box stand looking over a foodplot
Tangipahoa parish
Rem 700 30-06
Kinda low expectations as I'm only 300 yards from my parents back door. Lol
I have pics of deer in the plot around 6:00 a few days this week so you never know.

St franny
270 WSM
Cool and breezy
In box stand on big food plot surrounded by hardwooods.
He's gonna have to be huge for me to shoot. I don't feel like spending the Martin Luther the King day eve messing with a deer.

This damn boy has been crawling all over the stand ever since we got in it. Moving so much I made him sit on the floor. Now he is literally peeling pieces of wood from the OSB walls.

N Tangipahoa Parish
Box with green patches in three directions and cutover in the other
7mm mag shoulder cannon
52*, NW wind
Looking at two yearlings
Pretty much everyone in the lease has thrown in the towel

Awesome Jason! That's two studs the last two years. Had no idea they grew like that there.

Damn Jason, that deer has nice mass for a swamper!
Posted on 1/17/16 at 8:30 pm to Da Hammer
Hammer- They are few and far between. Most don't live long enough to get good horns.
Tiger79- a lot of the 4.5 and older deer we kill in plaquemines develope good mass. They just don't get the tine length to get them to 130in+. Every once in a while we will kill one with descent tine length. This one has 4in measurement on his h3/c3 (3rd circumference beam mass measurement). The c4/h4 was almost 4in also.
