Wait 2 more yrs and see if all the people wouldn't take Saban back in a heartbeat.

I would still take him back, as posted earlier, in a heartbeat. The man restored LSU to greatness, won a NC, and two SEC championships, and started with a mediocre team. I cannot hate a man who does that. However, if while he's at Bama steals our recruits and starts straight up owning us then I will despise him. But as of now, no... I harbor no hatred towards him. Show me a man who does not want top dollar, and I'll show you a liar.

WHY?

Nick Saban is not the only coach on earth that can win games.

Outside of one magical year, Nick Saban is an average-to-above-average coach. He has continued the same disturbing trends at Bama that were prevalent at LSU:

- Losing to unranked teams, especially at home
- Losing 1-2 games a year before they were even played (mentally lost his players)
- Blaming players when the going gets tough, but taking credit when things are good
- Being a jackass in general

LSU can do better than that. Saban was 48-16 at LSU. In Saban's 3rd year, LSU was woefully unprepared for a QB going down. We lost 5 games that year because Saban, in 3 years, couldn't convince anyone better than Marcus Randall to be our QB. He even let Rick Clausen start a game!!!! Nick Saban is not the answer for LSU. Les Miles is the answer. Any number of small school guys (Leavitt, Peterson, Schiano, Rodriguez) would do the job just as well, and they wouldn't be complete dicks doing it.

if saban steps to the podium at lsu, people would rally around him, I know I would. The guy put lsu back into the national spotlight and helped make drastic improvements to our infrastructure. I would forgive him, and totally be behind him.
