this freshly rebuilt, better-than-new car, which has been autographed by the mustachioed actor, can be yours if you outbid all challengers at the Barrett-Jackson auction Jan. 23-31.

They had to have more than one car to make those movies. (I would imagine).

I'm pretty sure Front9Bandit drives an Acura. It's way better than that POS Trans-Am

Buford T. Justice: Who there?
Bandit: This is Bandit Darville talkin'.
Buford T. Justice: Where are you, you sombitch?
Bandit: Before I tell you where I am, Sheriff, there's just one thing I wanna say. You must be part coon dog, 'cause I've been chased by the best of them, and son, you make 'em look like they're all runnin' in slow motion. I just wanna say that.
Buford T. Justice: Well, thank you, Mr. Bandit. And as the pursuer, may I say you're the goddamnedest pursuee I've ever pursued. Now that the mutual bullshite is over, WHERE ARE YOU, YOU SOMBITCH?

At the end of the '76 model year, the 455 finally was laid to rest. GM had downsized their full-size cars for '77 and the 455 no longer fit the program, The bean counters weren't about to spend money certifying an entire displacement class for one carline. Instead of the 455, a pair of KwikSpecs 400's and a (gasp) Oldsmobile 403 could be ordered up. This marked the first application of a non-Pontiac engine in the Trans Am. This would be a grim prelude to the future.

The car is still iconic, but I didn't realize they kicked that monster out from under the hood.
