This is the home run type of hire we wanted last year when we settled for slapdick Kevin Steele

Seems to be a monster hire. Its also encouraging to see a well regarded coach coming to LSU; that we're seen as a place where the best want to come coach.

Miles at it again speaking English with clarity. Its quite the treat when he "slips up" and actually does this. What a guy.??

“This is a great hire for us,” Miles said. “Dave has an outstanding track record of producing some of the best defenses in college football. We’ve seen him up close and understand how difficult it is to have success against him.

“He’s everything that we were looking for in a defensive coordinator. He’s youthful with tremendous enthusiasm; our players are going to love him. He’s brings great defensive knowledge to our staff both as a technician and as a strategist. We are thrilled that he’s joining us.”

Miles forgot his misspeak.

This is great for LSU.

I feel that defense was more of a weakness than offense this year...... I hope Aranda can stiffen things up.... We have the horses and will continue to recruit elite talent.... Exciting times!!!!

Best part to me is Miles hired a young and fresh guy to come in and shake things up. The staff was getting stale so O, Aranda and Raymond can bring intensity and accountability to the defense

Also by getting away from the usual SEC guys maybe LSU will bring a fresh approach to stopping the spread, HUNH and BAMA attacks
