Has anyone bought a home pre-sale in a new subdivision? We found a place we really like in a subdivision that is being developed with the developer also overseeing the builds. He has built homes for over thirty years with no major complaints from research but I am more interested in what can be expected and bargained in? This is a little different than building a custom home and maybe someone here has experience.

If its dsld, walk everything with a fine tooth comb and dont let them leave until its perfect.

I wouldn't give them a penny until all inspections were complete and that thing was 100%. Otherwise they'll be slapping the roof together with twist ties.
