re: Drywall finish smooth or textured? - daviddsims
Aren't most new construction homes in Louisiana textured and typically orange peel? I can't think of the last time I saw a smooth finish....

Golf Swing - daviddsims
I have never played golf much but am wanting to get into it. Went to the driving range this morning and hit a bucket of balls and it was pretty terrible. I had a buddy film me in slow motion so I could see what I was doing wrong and the most obvious was opening the club face every time I swing. It w...

I know I do not want to buy a front loader so top loader it is. Most of the top loaders that I saw today do not have an agitator and have mixed reviews....

New Home Quote - daviddsims
What is a reasonable time to expect a quote back from contractors on a new construction? I have talked to three contractors that are mid sized and build a pretty good home and only one has submitted a formal fixed price quote and that took four weeks. The other two still have not gotten back to me e...

re: Question for air conditioner guys. - daviddsims
The correct answer would be a manual j and manual s when you had your new unit installed. The 500 sq ft per ton is outdated and is used by HVAC hacks. I know of many homes in the deep south that can go as much as 1000 sq ft per ton but it all depends on the building envelope. ...
