Not even that for some people. I got mine out first thing in the morning....was eating pizza and whatever else I wanted that night (my oral surgeon hooked me up with good pain meds though, so I'm sure that helped as well).

Gift basket for wisdom teeth removal? I mean it's a nice gesture and all but getting your wisdom teeth out isn't that big a deal for most people.

OP....maybe get her some of her favorite flavors of ice cream. Spend time with her on the couch watching whatever crappy girl tv she wants to watch.

ETA: Saw you won't be there. Offer to spend time watching crappy girl tv when you get back. She really picked a horrible time to schedule this though. Who gets their wisdom teeth out the week of Christmas??

Actually a lot of people do. Since wisdom teeth generally erupt around college-age, and most people who get them removed do so because they are having trouble with them, they schedule during one of the two major breaks - Christmas or summer. And if they've been bothering the hell out of you in Oct. or Nov., you're not waiting til the summer.
