Catastrophe syndrome is what so many posters suffer from on this site.

I understand what you're saying, but we've been snake bitten by a QB before. Add in the fact we haven't had great QBs and it's understandable to be frustrated. While I don't think they should just give up on Franks (because I'd still take him), I hope they are doing the smart thing and working on other QBs (and maybe they are, I don't know). Putting all your eggs in one basket is just not smart.

If they miss on Franks, and get no one else...it's going to be a nasty melt on here.

The situation that LSU is currently in is all the proof you need on this.

Honestly I wouldn't stop recruiting a position of need like the QB and I wouldn't tell a QB that I would stop recruiting for that position.

You are 100% correct, we have been burnt and Franks might be burning us too. I understand he has to do what he has to do, but so does LSU.

Recruiting changes daily and we ask 17 to 19 year olds to make a commitment to a school while all these other schools continue to court them. Some are going to change their mind and that is fine, no hate there. I think it needs to be explained that we are in a position of need and while we appreciate your commitment, we have been burned too many times. We need to keep relationships with other options incase you do change your mind.

I just don't think you ever give up until the players you want are signed. Winners keep fighting until its over, losers hang their head and "move on" when things get tough. While I disagree with some of the recruiting, I am happy to see them still fighting for recruits they want.
