Just install Google photos on your iPhone and you'll be a billion times happier with the cloud features
Let me tell you the main feature that I like about Photos, and you can tell me if Google can meet or exceed it:
Photos backs up the complete version of the image to iCloud while keeping older photos on your devices in a thumbnail size to save space.
That feature alone has kept me from buying a new computer or dumping most of my photos onto an external HDD. I will say that I felt that iPhotos was easier to keep organized, but some of that has been due to the way my pictures are now shared automatically between devices. I used to dump photos from my phone and organize them, but they are now instantly sent to my computer over iCloud. This seems to now cause a lot of pictures to get lost in the fray over time, and can make it harder to find things that aren't put into albums.

Google photos backs up every photo and video (which it puts on a private YouTube account) for free.
All of them.
As many as you take.
To share you can either get a publically shareable web link or share it privately.
It couldn't be any easier.
You can then factory reset your phone and as soon as you log back into your Google account.. Every photo and video is right there like you never lost it.
It doesn't try to cram anything back on your phone. Why would it?
