why some LSU fans are pathetic

Caveat: I was all for getting Jimbo. I do like Miles. I can understand the decision not to pay the huge buyout, for the reasons given by Alexander, I just wish they had figured this out two wks earlier to save LSU the negative pub.
OK, here goes. The bowl game isn't "meaningless." The players work hard, and it certainly isn't meaningless to them. At LSU (maybe moreso than most other programs) the team sometimes reflects the fanbase attitude, so I'm hoping the players don't think the bowl game is meaningless.
Some LSU fans feel entitled, ridiculously so. My son said it best at the Arkansas game, as we watched a stream of Benedict Arnolds leave the stadium with 11 minutes left and the Tigers trailing by the "insurmountable" deficit of ten points. He said Arkansas is a good team, why do LSU fans dismiss them and just assume we should beat them?
It's all or nothing for some of you guys. Don't win the NC, it's a bad season. You're miserable fricks. Why be an LSU "fan" if it is only going to make you miserable? Find another hobby.
I understand the downward trend the past few yrs. It's not good. Agreed. But consider, in those years that LSU really had Alabama beat (the bullshite call on the 5 yd line after Yeldon fumbled; the game before in TS - the Yeldon screen pass), if LSU had won, we'd have likely been in the BCS/playoffs.
THIS yr, we saw not a close game w/ Alabama, but a game of domination. Troubling. Can Les turn this around? Would love to see him do so. Plenty of talent on the roster, and supposedly we're set to sign a top recruiting class. Some changes to offensive philosophy obviously need to be made -- obvious to most of us, maybe not so obvious to Les, which, is a problem.
But, I don't care what Jason Sehorn says about LSU, I don't derive my own sense of self-worth from what the ESPN Sports Reporters say about LSU, I bleed purple and gold, always have, always will .... there is no "meaningless bowl game." If your sense of self-worth is so dependent upon the activities of a group of 18-21 yr olds, that you have no control over, please find a new hobby, and stop trashing the school and program that you say you are a fan of.

Nobody cares about the mental gymnastics you have to do to justify the destruction of this program by incompetent administrators.

it may not be "meaningless" but i'll be watching on TV and not attending.

I'm sure many LSU fans left in the middle of the post.

Because they are far to concerned with what other grown men are doing with their free time

Arkansas isn't a good team. They're 7-5 and they would be 6-6 if we would've even played halfway worth a shite against them. We're one of two schools in the country with top 5 in state NFL talent and no in state power 5 schools to compete against on the recruiting trail. The other school is Ohio State. Look at what we're doing and look at what they're doing.
Coaching is the only reason that we're not doing what Ohio State is doing year in and year out, and it's old to the people who can see that. Sorry that your son is happy with a loss to a bad Arkansas team because LSU isn't finishing sub-.500 and actually got an invite to a bottom tier bowl

Its amazing that you care enough about these people to write a thesis on them.

My son said something similar. He said, "You know, dad, Arkansas always plays us tough, right?"
LSU Football is allot of fun; and it's even better when the kids' innocence protects them from the irrational demands and expectations of our fan base.

Didn't read because too long. I'll say it again. It's not about wins and losses. It's that we look clueless constantly. Why won't the Les miles lovers understand that

incompetent administrators.
Agree. As I've said repeatedly.
Criticism of the decision-makers is warranted. Dismissal of the players and the bowl game as meaningless is pathetic.

Look no further than the 4 downs vs ole miss on their 1 yard line.
Jr high teams couldn't have fouled that up as bad as LSU did.
It's embarrassing.

NextYearU.
Teach your son to accept mediocrity like you do. Let's see how that works out for him in the real world.

Exactly. It's a direct relation to a goofy coach. Great man. Goofy coach.
And that cannot be debated. If you do, your head is either in the sand or up miles arse
