I do it on low for about 8 hours normally. How much liquid do you suggest? My mom would put about an inch and it always came out amazing.

Usually keep about an inch for the first 4 hours, then add more for the last hour so I have more gravy to top my rice. This thread is going to make me defrost a butt and smother it Sunday.
