Player Team Gms Att. Yds Avg YPG Lg TD FD

Ingram, NO 11 154 713 4.63 64.8 70 5 40

Hi guys. I'm a huge Saints fan but as a Bama fan I just don't understand why many of you don't like Ingram so just wanted a little insight. I understand he was a little slow to get going. Was banged up often and wasn't very productive but I can't help but see that he's turned into a true talent on this team. He is only averaging 14 Att. Per game and still is 9th in the league in rushing. He actually has less carries than anyone in the top 10. No fumbles, which is huge and over 300 yards receiving as well. He is still on pace for 1000 yds. So what's the deal guys? Is it me being a homer or some of you guys being homers? Saints are my favorite pro team, I don't care where the player comes from, as long as they're producing. Tell me why Ingram is not producing?

you're 2 years late on our hate. there's hardly been much ingram hate the past year and a half plus. He's improved and usually been okay enough, sprinkled with some very good stuff here and there. he's matured a bit since his first couple years. we've had bigger fish to fry elsewhere.

There's only a few who still keep it up, earn your keep is one.

He's turned into a productive guy, he's like Matt Forte lite

Some people are never gonna like Ingram.

It's just how they are.

He's so far down on the list of Saints problems at this point that the hate has pretty much dried up this season.

The first 1 1/2 years he was terrible. Since then CSP has been terrible using him. MI is a good NFL runner. Expectations of a first rounder was for him to be a great runner.
If you don't like him as a runner now you just hate bamers or don't watch enough pro football.

Most Ingram haters (these days) are just butthurt LSU fans. Not all, some of us have come around. In the first few years of his career he was bad though (consistent 3 YPC and outplayed by the rest of our RBs)

Playcalling/Oline hasn't really helped him

He's definitely much better as a receiver now and that's a credit to him working on it.

I wasn't a fan of his till this year. The guy has been running with purpose. Any negative feelings toward him have 0 to do with the school he went to

He runs into a huge hole then trips up his own self. He gets up and slams the ball in disgust . This happened twice a game for the last two years .

Because we used a 1st on a position we could have gotten the same production out of in a later round.

Ingram is a good back but in the easiest position to transition to in the NFL, he was horrid for his first 2.5 years and for what the Saints gave up for him, he still is not even close to worth his value at the draft.

Add in his attitude and behavior at times, especially given he plays is Louisiana, the Bama fanboy shite has been ridiculous.

All that said, he is a slightly above average back and a decent value currently bug still hurt this team when it was actually competing for championships based on what they cojld have got in place of him for two draft picks.

First impression (first two years) hurt him. The fans have warmed up to him since then. If the Saints ran more he'd be more effective.
