The successful pre second year starter is kinda an albatross when looking at the highest ranked QBs in the Power 5
2013 champ - Redshirt Freshman
2010 - I'll concede not an underclassman, but no experience at the D1 level
And that's just the national championship teams, that's not talking about other schools/players who've had success in the last 5-10 years with young QBs.

Lets ignore the fact that two quarterbacks were first round draft picks.
