I must confess, I was initially doing some research on Jimbo when I ran across this article. I was very curious how it would be accepted given the ground swell. That's not really true either. I knew how it would be accepted, but the masses needed to be challenged. Meant what I said about preferring Kelly, and I'm also not looking forward to the meltdown when Jimbo loses his first game. Assuming,of course, he really does come here.

Jimbo will lose games at LSU. That's not debatable.

The article you posted in OP is a juvenile attempt to analyze Jimbo's resume.

He has lost as a favorite, he needs an NFL 1st round draft pick at QB to succeed. That's simple thought and means zero.

Historically, all teams need a capable QB to succeed. NFL or CFB.

Whether it's Craig, Booty, Davey, Mauck, Russell, Flynn (Crowton inherited 5th season), Ponder, Manual or Winston, Jimbo has a QB development resume that is amazingly impressive. Whatever those QBs have done in the NFL is beyond his control. What's they've done under his tutelage in CFB is special.

Jimbo also knows the SEC, understands the importance of defense and turned around a declining FSU program.

Some may think Chip is a bigger get, but Chip is more of a gun for hire IMO. IF Jimbo does in fact come to LSU, he gives LSU just as much as Chip IMO and he's locked and loaded as bleeding purple and gold.
